1. What makes BiMBA different?
BiMBA is the first program that is given permission to grant an MBA degree in Beijing from the Degree Granting Committee of the State Council, China's highest administrative body. Trained with the most advanced management theories and tools and nurtured in the heritage and spirit of Peking University, the graduates of BiMBA will be positioned to lead major multinational corporations in the next century. BiMBA has marshaled unprecedented recourses.
Peking University is internationally recognized as the leading institution of higher education in China. China Center for Economic Research has the largest concentration of Western trained Ph.Ds in management in China. In the short period after its foundation, CCER has already distinguished itself with its achievements in theoretical research and policy implementation consultation. The consortium of American universities has a pool of over a thousand Ph.D. professors in business and management, making its resources far wider and deeper than any single university in the world.
Distinguished teaching resouces and strict admission requirements gather a pool of outstanding students at BiMBA. Most of our students have a considerable working experience and are at the mediem or top level managerial positions in various enterprises. Average working experience of regular MBA students are 7 years, and for EMBA students more than 14 years.
BiMBA's curriculum is problem-solving oriented, learner-centered and interactive in communications. Our program is meant to nurture inspirational leaders, not just to train competent managers. Therefore, we have developed quite a number of lecture series: the CEO Dinner Lecture Series, the Leadership Forum, the Executive Forum, the Academic Forum and the Student Forum.

BiMBA is an educational joint venture between a consortium of more than 20 US universities with Fordham University (New York City, USA) as the degree granting university of regular MBA graduates, and Peking University (Beijing, China), represented by China Center for Economic Research (CCER) at Peking University.
Granting foreign degree of Sino-US joint program in China needs inspection, permission and supervision of the State Council Degree Committee of PRC. Being the first such program, BiMBA enjoys the trust of our educational administrative agency. Presently, the permission of granting foreign degrees is mainly based on teaching quality and the assessment and the ranking of foreign accreditation agencies.
The MBA degree issued by Fordham University is accredited by AACSB - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. In addition, the Deans of the 26 U.S. universities and the Director of CCER at Peking University have added their signatures to a special diploma, affirming that the program is supported and recognized by their institutions.

Faculty for the MBA course are selected from a pool of over 1,000 full-time Ph.D. professors employed by the U.S. consortium universities and the China Center for Economic Research at Peking University (CCER).
The consortium of American universities has a pool of more than a thousand Ph.D. professors in business and management, making its resources far wider and deeper than any single university in the world.
All of the professors have done extensive research in their fields, which cover almost all the topics of management. Most have significant teaching experience and have published abundant academic papers in top managerial periodicals. In addition, most of them are members of specialty management associations in America, such as American Accounting Association, Academy of Management, International Academy of Management, Academy of Marketing Science, etc.

4. What is the uniqueness of teaching method at BiMBA? What is the percentage of case study?
BiMBA's curriculum is problemn-solving oriented, learner-centered and interactive. It introduces international concepts with the Chinese business context. We have set up a big bank of cases, which consists of a great number of Harvard cases, as well as hundreds of cases within Chinese context compiled by professors and students out of their own experience. Percentage of case studies are different between courses.

5. Is there any concentration?
From 2004, full-time MBA program has two concentrations: General Management and Finance, while part-time program still keeps the General Management Concentration. Students can choose their particular concentration through elective courses. We plan to offer more elective courses to meet our students' various interest.

6. What is AACSB International? Is there any other MBA degree which is granted in China accredited by AACSB International?
AACSB International stands for The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, which is the most authoritative accreditation organization of business schools in the USA. Its accreditation represents the highest standard of achievement for business schools worldwide, and is accepted worldwide. MBA degree granted by BiMBA is the first one accredited by AACSB International in China.

7. What is the requirement for graduation? Is a graduation paper required?
BiMBA adopts the same method as that of the business schools of USA. Those who finish all the required courses with the average score above B will be granted the MBA degree. Graduation paper is not required.
