The Caijing Fellowship, jointly launched in 1999 by China Center for Economic Research (CCER) and Caijing (Financial Business) Magazine, aims to train a group of young journalists with good economic knowledge, who will contribute to the grand economic reform of China.
This training program provides the young journalists with opportunities to learn economic theory. Beijing International MBA Programs (BiMBA) at Peking University offers the teaching faculties, while Caijing magazine wholly sponsors this program and takes part in part of the organizing tasks.
Caijing Fellowship Program finances ten outstanding young financial journalists and editors all over the nation every year under strict selection. Those who get the fellowship are going to study in Peking University full-timely for three months to learn courses about economy, management and insightful report on financial news. The sum of the Caijing Fellowship is 10,000RMB per person, covering tuition fee, transportation and the daily expenses.
The evaluation committee is composed of well-known economists, scholars on management and experts from press. When the training is finished, the trainee will be awarded a corresponding certificate issued by CCER.
Since it is initiated, the Caijing Fellowship Program has been held seven runs with great success, provided training for 70 excellent editors and reporters from CCTV, Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, China Economic Times, China Business Times, China Youth Daily, Shanghai Daily, Phoenix TV, International Finance, Southern Weekly , etc.
