Christman, the vice president of US Chamber of Commerce and former president of the US Military Academy at West Point, presented the lecture on US Chamber of Commerce and the Current Politics of US-China Trade at the Wanzhong Lou of Langrun Yuan, Peking University. After the presentation, Mr. Christman exchanged extensively with the teachers and students of BiMBA on the relevant topics.

Tuck Business School of Dartmouth College signed two cooperation agreements with BiMBA on a joint research and launching of consulting project, which is the first one concluded between US top business school and Chinese top business school.

Professor Dayuan Hu, BiMBA Dean (China), Professor John Yang, BiMBA Dean (US), Mr. Hong Bing, vice chairman of China Research Society of Sun Tzu¡¯s Art of War, led 60 students of BiMBA 2002 EMBA class to Tancheng City of Shandong Province to attend Experience Strategy Seminar.
At the invitation of BiMBA, Michael Cheung, a tennis superstar of Chinese origin, and his families came to Peking University. Cheung delivered a passionate speech at the tennis court of No. 2 Stadium to share his way of success with Beida students.

Ms. Chen Yi, a famous American Chinese writer, interviewed over 100 BiMBA EMBA students and published her book We Meet Here: Exceeding EMBA. She signed and sold her new book at the Zhongguancun Book Mansion. The book was extremely popular among the readers and in two weeks, its sales volume in Beijing alone reached 12,000 and the first printings are quickly sold out. The book has been listed as Top Ten Bestsellers by Guolinfeng Book Center.
BiMBA EMBA students took flight to attend the commencement held at the Fordham University in New York, US. Two EMBA students have been awarded Student Leader Prize and Outstanding Academic Prize for MBA students. The BiMBA team also visited US Military Academy at West Point and received a warm welcome there.
BiMBA attended the 5th China MBA Development Forum held in Xi¡¯an and obtained the first and the second prizes.

The fourth session for training MBA teachers for the Great West Development, a scholarship for producing MBA teachers for the West Development jointly established by China Center for Economic Research at Peking University (CCER) and BiMBA and Beijing Youth Newspaper concluded successfully.
Mr. Robert W. Fogel, the winner of 1993 Nobel Prize for Economy, delivered a theme speech on the Changing Nature of Economic Growth at the Siji Room of Centennial Hall at Peking University.
The delegation of the Consultant Committee of Fordham University, the US partner of BiMBA, visited Peking University for academic exchanges. The delegation inspected the BiMBA and hoped to find more chances for cooperation between New York and Beijing. It organized a forum of China and World Capital Market.
China Center for Economic Research at Peking University (CCER) and BiMBA held 2004 commencement. Professor Wu Zhipan, vice president and vice secretary of the party committee of Peking University, Professor Justin Yifu Lin, director of CCER and member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, as well as Mr. Antony Leung, the former Financial Secretary of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government attended the event and presented speeches.

Organized by EMBA Club and participated by the deans and directors of University of Chicago, INSEAD, French ESSEC University, Nanyang Business School, Singapore Management University, and BiMBA, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, the business school dean round table conference was held at the Asian campus (Singapore) of the Business School of University of Chicago to discuss the main characteristics and development trend of EMBA education in Asia. Dean John Yang attended the event and presented a speech on the EMBA education in Asia.

Peking University and State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs held the signature and initiating ceremony for launching the Joint Training Base of Chinese Government Middle and Senior Executives. The authorized representatives of both parties signed the cooperation memorandum.
PKU-Pfizer China Hospital Management Summit Forum was held at the CCER in the Langrun Yuan of Peking University; and the topic was Opportunities and Challenges for China Medical System Reform and Hospital Internal Management in the 21st Century.
Professor Douglass C. North, the winner of the Nobel Prize for economy, was invited as one of the guest speakers at the series lectures of Standing on the Shoulder of a Giant: Speeches by the Winners of Nobel Prize for Economy to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of CCER. The title of his speech was Capitalism and Economic Growth.

The CCER celebrated its tenth anniversary and Professor James A. Mirrlees of Cambridge University, the winner of 1996 Nobel Prize for economy, delivered a speech on Innovation and Economic Growth to Beida students. Wang Qishan, the mayor of Beijing, Liu Yonghao, board chairman of New Hope Group, Mr. Stephen J. Burrows, president of US Anheuser-Busch and other economists attended the evening party of Glories and Dreams.
Anheuser-Busch (AB), the world¡¯s largest beer brewer founded USD 100,000 scholarship for BiMBA.
Sir Marjorie Scardino, the CEO of Pearson Group, delivered a speech and shared with BiMBA students the strategic choice made by Pearson Group to cope with the global competition.

Mr. Jose Maria Figueres-Olsen, the former president of Costa Rica and the CEO of the World Economic Forum, presented a speech on Sustainable Development and the Information Society in Latin America. After the speech, he discussed relevant issues with BiMBA teachers and students.
BiMBA 03 Part Time class initiated a charity contribution and auction activity of BiMBA Passes Love to You and raised nearly RMB 30,000 yuan for Beijing Lizhi Recreation Center and Hua¡¯ao School for civilian worker¡¯s children.

Three officer teachers and one students from US Military Academy at West Point visited BiMBA and presented speeches on From Soldiers to Generals: Leadership in West Point, introducing the teaching experiences of the leadership courses at the West Point and discussing with BiMBA students on how to cultivate leadership in MBA education.

Merrill Lynch & Co. Foundation, Inc. donated US $ 65,700 to BiMBA to support her participation in a joint project scheme with Mater¡¯s degree students of National Chengchi University of Taiwan and The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Beijing International MBA Program (BiMBA) represents Peking University on this joint venture.
This joint project scheme is designed by Prof. Samuel Poon, who is President and Chief Operating Officer for APR Investment Banking and Chairman of Merrill Lynch Capital Markets (Taiwan) Ltd.
Prof. Samuel Poon, taught a Master¡¯s degree course of Applied Corporate Finance simultaneously to the three universities in the 2004/05 academic year.
The students of the three universities worked together on joint projects that are of relevance to the Greater China Region and gathered twice in Hong Kong.
This 3-way student project scheme is the first of its kind in the Greater China Region. And this promotes cross-fertilization and understanding among graduate students of business administration and finance in China, Taiwan and Hongkong.

Professor Yang Zhuang, the American-side dean of BiMBA, together with the four students, separately Cao Yuhong, Chen Bing, Liu Lin and Zhang Yang, was invited by West Point for visiting there. They took part in the activity of mock R-day in the academy.

Two officials from West Point, separately Lieutenant Colonel Todd Henshow and Major Brian Tribus, as well as two students Adam Hilkenkamp and Colin Lasater, made a visit to BiMBA. They provided lectures for BiMBA students and alumni on the leadership of West Point, and took part in the outward bound for BiMBA new students.
